A child's bedroom invaded by dinosaur motifs, a revisited naturalist cabinet or a boat stranded on the sand: the decors imagined by Mark Dion are distinguished by their heterogeneity. The American artist is a "collector" who works in particular on the themes of nature and cabinets of curiosities. In 2006, the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature commissioned the artist to create a tribute to its founders, François and Jacqueline Sommer. The Sommer Cabin Sommer evokes the one they built in their property in Belval (Ardennes). Panelled with wooden logs, the shelter is represented in an apparent disorder. Numerous objects, of different natures, rub shoulders there.
