IN THE SKIN OF THE BEAR

THE HUNT, NEW NARRÉE AND CHANTÉE

MONDAY 23 JANUARY 2017, TO 18H

A PROPOSAL BY CHOIR DE CHAMBRE ARTHÉMYS

The Arthémys Chamber Choir offers a program based on the short story that Goethe wrote in 1826, generally entitled Hunting. This text, taking as a starting point the organization of a princely hunting party, illustrates the multiple inspirations of German artists of the XNUMXth century.e century.
Like a fairy tale, Goethe addresses the question of man in his relationship to nature but also symbolically that of a prince facing the exercise of power.

As the short story is told, the choir will perform lieder by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann chosen for their theme and their adequacy with the text, offering an original concert alternating narration and musical interpretation, in resonance with the exhibition presented by the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature.
