ANIMAL PERSPECTIVE
CONFERENCE WITH ARTIST WALTON FORD AND HOSTED BY PHILOSOPHER PATRICK DEGEORGES
Around the Walton Ford exhibition
Walton Ford's works are always traps because they don't tell the stories they are meant to tell. His paintings divert the motifs of naturalist animal painting and highlight the anthropocentrism of our representations of wild animals. Many of the animals he paints, threatened with extinction, no longer exist except in our imagination. So when the beast appears again, we no longer know whether to flee or capture its fragile existence.
This conference will be held in English.
