SOON ON HAPPY DAYS (I TEMPI FELICI VERRANNO PRESTO)
SCREENING PROPOSED BY CHARLÈNE DINHUT AND BENOÎT HICKÉ Director: Alessandro Comodin (Italy / France, 100 ', 2016, VOSTF) Preview, in the presence of the director (thanks to Shellac)
Tommaso and Arturo, on the run, take refuge in the Piedmontese forest. Years later, it is infested with wolves. One day, Ariane discovers a strange hole there. Ariane is she the young woman we are talking about in this legend of the valley? Why did she venture into this hole? It will remain a mystery.
This story, each tells it in their own way, but everyone agrees that Ariadne's wolf has indeed found it. After the much noticed Giacomo's Summer (2011), the young Italian director Alessandro Comodin returns with a three-part fable that handles without touching fascinating reminiscences: one thinks of the suffocating and heavy atmospheres of certain Weerasethakul films or of the intranquil and absurd drifts of Miguel Gomes. Between wildness and light, the filmmaker handles contrasts and magnifies the nature he films, close to the body.
