Feather artist Nelly Saunier has been working with feathers for more than thirty years. She likes to transcend technique and offer the unexpected: her works play with the texture and richness of the feather through trompe-l'oeil and pretenses. A stay at Villa Kujoyama in Japan and an unprecedented collaboration with Shūho, master of ikebana, gave birth to a whole imagination on the theme of Transformed Nature.
For the European Days of Crafts, she sets up an ephemeral workshop at the museum and thus offers an immersion in the heart of her creative universe.
Nelly Saunier has been a Master of Art since 2008. She received the Liliane Bettencourt Prize for Hand Intelligence - Exceptional Talents in 2009, was named Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 2012 and laureate of the Villa Kujoyama in 2015.
This event is part of the continuity of the partnership forged between the museum and Villa Kujoyama.
