As part of Drawing Now Art Fair - Contemporary Drawing Salon, the artist Mircea Cantor imagines a performance of drawing burnt with a dynamite wick, halfway between cave art and ritual act.

Starting from her film Sic Transit Gloria Mundi (2012), the artist regularly reactivates in the form of unpublished performances drawings that often take the form of paintings on fire on various supports such as cardboard, the museum wall or plexiglass: this wick, whose kindling makes the medium disappear in favor of the motif, highlights the importance for the artist of the appearance of the form, of its temporality and of its retinal persistence force.
