Billebaude n ° 2

The naturalistic hunter

The naturalistic hunter
This second issue of Billebaude is devoted to the relationship between the hunter and nature.
On a daily basis, the hunter works concretely for the conservation of spaces and wild species. History remembers little that it was Pompidou - hunter - who imagined the creation of the first ministry of the environment (with as Prime Minister of the environment, Robert Poujade) and that he entrusted missions to François Sommer to help the creation of the National Hunting Office, the first administration worthy of the name to manage hunting affairs.
People in the field, enlightened amateurs and nature enthusiasts thus seek to enrich the information available on flora and fauna, which are valuable indicators of the state of conservation of the environment.
