What is the meaning, today, of this memorization of the animal, in a context of the disappearance of a large number of wild species? It is not only a question, through the trophy, of remembering a good hunting party, nor of freezing the essence of a specimen for scientific purposes. Dead, the animal retains the trace of a presence, of the life it was.
In a face to face meeting with the trophies of the Museum of Hunting and Nature, we will reflect on the status, in our contemporary society, of the naturalized animal, which confronts us at the same time with its presence and its disappearance.
